inter-linguistic and inter-provincial dialogue among the writers of all
languages spoken in Pakistan an association named” Pakistan Writers
Inter-Provincial dialogue forum (PWIPDF) has been formed here at a meeting
of writers held here recently. The statement issued after deliberations
said:
Pakistan Writers Inter-Provincial Dialogue forum Pakistani writers inter-provincial dialogue forum (pwipdf)
is a group of Pakistani writers and intellectuals comprising from all
the four provinces of Paksitan. Our mission is to promote
inter-provincial ,inter-linguistic and intercultural dialogue throughout
Pakistan. We believe a passive ethnic, linguistic and cultural attitude
in our country is not sufficient to achieve our ethnic, linguistic and
cultural richness. We need to do more in this direction and with a
better vision and a great speed. What we need to do is to try to learn
about each other and struggle to understand our differences through
active dialogue. In this process, we believe that one shouldn’t just try
to express its own values but listen to and appreciate other values by
accepting each other in their own position and conserving its own
identity at the same time. This way we believe that, different
linguistic, ethnic and cultural identities can live together in harmony
in the federation by identifying each other through their differences
and empathizing through their similarities, washing away the stereotypes
and prejudices against each other. To reach to a mutual understanding to
resolve our differences for a better future for our coming generations
we need to initiate dialogue. Apart from every thing we a have lot in
common .Through our collaborative efforts with diverse groups we seek to
make a difference in our country by having a better understanding of our
differences and sharing and appreciating our common values. Our differences are our richness. Languages, cultures
and ethnicities exist so that we come together and learn from, not fight,
each other. Dialogue is a must today, and the first step in
establishing it is forgetting the past, ignoring polemical arguments, and
giving precedence to common points, which far outnumber polemical ones.
